The National Testing Agency (NTA) has recently released an official notification regarding the conduct of th National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET-UG) 2025. Let’s have a look what NTA updation on NEET UG 2025.
- As per Section 14 of the National Medical Commission Act, 2019, the NEET (UG) has to be conducted as a common and uniform National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test for admission to undergraduate medical education in all medical institutions.
- Similarly, as per Section 14 of the National Commission for Indian System of Medicine Act, 2020.
- there should be a uniform NEET (UG) for admission to undergraduate courses in each of the disciplines i.e. BAMS, BUMS, and BSMS courses of the Indian System of Medicine in all Medical Institutions governed under this Act.
- NEET (UG) shall also be applicable to admission to the BHMS course under the National Commission for Homeopathy.

NEET 2025 at a glance
- Exam Name: National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET-UG)2025.
- Conducting Authority: NAtional Testing Agency (NTA)
- Mode of Exam: offline (Pen & Paper-based)
- Duration: 3 hours 20 minutes
- Subjects: Physics, Chemistry, Biology (BOtany & Zoology)
- Questions: 200 (180 to be attempted)
- Total Marks: 720
- Marking Scheme: +4 for correct answers, -1 for incorrect answers.
Who can apply? ( Eligibility Criteria)
- Age- Minimum 17 years as of December 21, 2025 ( No upper age limit!)
- Educational Qualification: Calss 12th (or appearing) with Physics, chemsitry, Biology/Biotech & English as core subjects.
- Minimum Marks: General- 50% in PCB
- Minimum Marks: OBC/SC/ST: 40% in PCB
- Minimum Marks: PWD: 45% in PCB
- Number of Attempts: Unlimited.

- Visit the official Website: https://neet.nta.nic.in
- Click on NEET 2025 Registration and fill in basic details.
- Upload Required Documents (Photo, signature, thumb impression, 10th & 12 th certificates).
- Pay the Application Fee online (Debit/Credit Card, UPI, Net banking).
- Submit & Download confirmation PAge for reference.
- Expected Application Fee: General-Rs.1700,OBC/ EWS-Rs.1600,SC/ST/PWD Rs.1000
